This to me is going to be an interesting test because shockingly enough this alleged Kansas hater thinks KU did nothign wrong. it'll be very interesting to see if KU has to vacate games. The standard has always been if the kid was ineligible, even retoactively, the games are forfeited. But Duke didn't have to with Maggette and the claim has always been he took the money in HS not at Duke.
McLemore's situation appears to be someone spending money on him while at Kansas, so based on history the NCAA could very well rule him ineligible and vacate the games he played in.
It's blatantly obvious this didn't help Kansas, they were trying to get him to leave KU to go pro. there's no obvious ties to KU and there's no indication anybody at KU knew or should have known, this wasn't a Derrick Rose case where Memphis had known for months the NCAA and ETS believed he cheated on his test scores, they simply chose to believe him when he said he took his own test.
Weird situation.
It just gets worse and worse people trying to exploit kids, kids transfer and everyone blasts them, but if they're not good enough and get run off that's apparently ok.
My gut is what should happen in this case is that KU gets the same outcome Duke did, they had no reason to know so they did nothing wrong. My guess is they get the same outcome Memphis and UMASS did, he was ineligible, you vacate any wins that happened after he first took the money or in this case financial help.
