The Cincinnati Bengals had expressed interest in Chicago Bears free-agent guard Teven Jenkins early in free agency.

Jenkins, though, is off to visit other teams.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jenkins has a visit lined up on Monday with the Seattle Seahawks.

That's notable because there's a rather large gap between the timing of the report and the visit itself, especially while other big-name guards like Mekhi Becton sign with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Maybe the Bengals will get in the mix for Jenkins if he makes it out of that meeting with the Seahawks sans contract. But it's not shocking that they are interested in a former second-round pick who would be a solid upgrade at one of the team's two lacking guard spots in front of Joe Burrow.

For whatever reason, the Bengals are seemingly coming up short behind other teams on the Jenkins front. As such, they've yet to really address the needy guard spots, other than to cut Alex Cappa and bring back Cody Ford as a likely backup.
