The Cincinnati Bengals approach the 2025 NFL draft with a host of needs on the defensive side of the ball and some obvious issues on the offensive line in front of Joe Burrow.

As is the case most years, the Bengals don't project to get overly aggressive and trade up for help, especially in the first round, given the costs involved.

But that doesn't mean it isn't fun to play the what if? game and look at projections that do just that.

Fox Sports' Ralph Vacchiano, for example, just issued a mock draft where every team trades in Round 1 and has the Bengals moving all the way up to No. 11 to draft Texas A&M edge rusher Shemar Stewart:

If they do that, they really should get their elite pass-rusher some help, which is why they'll continue their bold offseason with a big move up in the draft. Somewhere in the middle of the first round, there'll be a run on edge rushers. As soon as the Bengals sense it, they'll move.

Given what is known about Stewart so far, one has to imagine that he would nearly top the board for the Bengals if he fell to No. 17 on draft day.

Still, the Bengals are highly unlikely to break character and invest in a move up for one player in this class. If they didn't here, they still would have had a shot at Georgia edge Mykel Williams and Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant on the way to No. 17, too.

That said, the topic of going and getting another high-end pass-rusher to put in a rotation with Trey Hendrickson, Myles Murphy and Joseph Ossai is very much on the table for the Bengals this year.
