The Cincinnati Bengals signed free-agent guard Lucas Patrick on Friday.

Cincinnati announced the move as a one-year contract with the veteran lineman who has 64 starts to his name at the pro level.

According to John Sheeran of AtoZ Sports, Patrick had offers from other teams on the table. Prior reporting outlined Patrick's visit with the Bengals after the team got the big contracts done with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

The Bengals entered free agency needing help at both guard spots, particularly after cutting Alex Cappa. Cincinnati re-signed Cody Ford to compete at various spots, but he could wind up as the sixth offensive lineman by starting day due to his versatility.

Even with Patrick coming aboard, there's nothing to suggest the Bengals won't consider addressing one of the guard spots as high as Round of the upcoming draft.
