The Cincinnati Bengals have a top-30 draft visit scheduled with Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr, according to James Crepea of The Oregonian.
The Bengals are always going to continue searching for help in the trenches, especially now that they have doled out contracts that total over $120 million per year to quarterback Joe Burrow ($55 million) and wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase ($40.25) and Tee Higgins ($28.75).
Conerly could be a potential Day 2 pick for the Bengals. He was named First Team All-Big Ten and Third Team All-American in 2024 after starting all 14 games for the Big Ten champion Ducks. While he may be a bit undersized (6'4, 313 pounds), he has the explosiveness and athleticism to develop into a strong tackle or guard at the next level.
He showed progress as the season wore on, including holding his own against potential No. 1 pick Abdul Carter in the Big Ten championship game.
This visit will give the Bengals a chance to gather more information on Conerly. Top-30 visits are simply 30 official visits allowed for each team with non-local draft prospects. It doesn't necessarily mean they're a top-30 player or that the Bengals will even draft him. Rather, it's a chance to get the prospect in a formal setting for an interview and a physical. Still, Conerly is a name to potentially watch in round two for the Bengals.
