On both the Big Red Rage and the Maximum Cardinals programs this week, Bertrand Berry was recorded referring to this game as "graduation day" for the Cardinals.

I see it that way as well. Dont get me wrong I do not take the Panthers lightly. They have a very solid, playoff-bound football team there but I'm hoping our Cardinals can take these sentiments by Berry and make them a reality.

It's time for this team to graduate from; an ok team that is 'tough at home', to a GOOD football team that can beat you no matter where you are. Teams like that are 'crowned' division champs and go to the playoffs!

Tomorrow is Graduation Day Cards!

WE CAN DO IT!:)

I agree. It isn't necessarily a "must-win" game, but it is an important game as far as home field and seeding should the Cardinals reach the playoffs.

I saw someplace that the Eagles under Andy Reid are 8-0 coming off their bye week. IMO, it's important for the Cardinals under Ken Whisenhunt to establish that same tradition. We should be rested physically, and with an extra week of preparation should be ready to take on a very good and physical team on the road. Win or lose, the Cardinals should play well today. If not, I'll be disappointed.

The nice thing about this game is believing they can win is a legitimate belief, not false hope. They beat top teams in Buffalo and Dallas at home, went to SF to open the season and beat them on their turf, gave a good team in Washington all they could handle in their house and nearly won that one, too. This will be the "coming out" party for our Cardinals if they can take the cats on their turf!!!!

BTW...........

I love hearing that the Cards recognize the importance of this game. I think they'll play their hearts out.

I don't understand the extra week of prep. Didn't they only have a couple of half days last week ? I thought they were pretty much on vacation last week.

I could be wrong, but I think they only had a couple of days off.

Plus, the coaching staff probably didn't take any time off and put it into game prep.
