I just bought an HDTV and I was wondering what would be the best type of connector to use. I got an HD box and it has component, HDMI, and s video connections.

Which is the best??

If I remember correctly from when we bought our set, component offers the best quality, then S video.

HDMI is the best choice, no doubt about it. Digital, and has sound with it, if it's HDMI to HDMI, not DVI...

S-Video would not be high-definition, neither would composite.

Component is HD.

Yeah thanks for the info. I did some research and found that HDMI is the best, but they are way too pricey. Monster cable HDMI is $199.99 at best buy.

 Looks like it will be component for me.

thanks again.

Have you personally used the HDMI? I really want to know if it is worth the money? That way I can sell my wife on spending more money on this thing.

Monster cables are nice but over priced.

It is a digital signal so it will work or it won't.

There is not much difference between a monster cable and a lower priced one.
