OK maybe not but I sure thought so when I was 13 and this came out haha... I re-watched it last night and it still has tons of "guilty pleasure" but damn is it cheesy!

I was in my early 30's when it came out and I loved it too. I do blame it for all the horrible Michael Dudikoff movies I watched as a result of this one though. Come to think of it, I watched a lot of bad Steve James movies for the same reason. American Ninja has a lot to answer for.

Dudikoff was in what classic 80's movie starring Tom Hanks?

Bachelor Party. I'm not willing to support the "classic" portion of your question, I found it pretty lame. BTW, he's in a classic 2013 action film too.

Ha ha. I snuck into this with my brother in the movie theater. Classic bad martial arts movie. I was really into those right around that time.

Might be better than Transformers 3. Not 1 and 2.

Transformers 1: Juvenile but mildly entertaining.
Transformers 2: Juvenile, not at all entertaining.
Transformers 3: WTF? They made three of these things?
American Ninja: Lots of fun. Would kick butt on all the Trannie movies.

Calling Transformer juvenile is like saying water is wet.

Upon further review, no one parachuted off the sears Tower in this so Tran3 wins.

And I would just watch a Bruce Lee movie instead of this.

As a longtime Bruce Lee fan, I'd have to say American Ninja was better than any of Bruce's movies. If you're going to cheap-shot Dudikoff by threatening to watch someone else's kick-butt movie, I'd go for Jackie Chan. At least that's a real threat. Also, you don't get Steve James when you watch Bruce Lee. He's a big part of why American Ninja works so well.

I would rather watch enter the dragon with the sound off and my eyes closed than watch Jackie Chan's sillyness. How is it a cheapshot to say I would rather watch Bruce lee's awesomeness?

Bruce Lee was awesome, no two ways about it. Bruce Lee movies, well, that's another story. You really don't like Jackie? That's too bad. His stunts and physical humor make Hollywood attempts look feeble IMO. Yes, they get a little silly at times but the good moments more than make up for the silly, IMO. BTW, this technique of "the sound off and my eyes closed" is more likely to be called sleeping than watching.

I walked out on Chan' "whatever in the Bronx" movie. I will add Jet Li to dudes who martial arts movies I would rather watch.

Rumble in the Bronx was one of his weakest, IMO. It's down there with the Rush Hour's and Shanghai Noon. The second half of Rumble is okay (over the top but mostly entertaining) but it was a lot of work to get there. It's certainly not one I'd recommend to anyone but a diehard Chan fan. I prefer Police Story, Police Story 2, JC's First Strike, Supercop, Project A, Project A2, Dragons Forever, Drunken Master, Legend of Drunken Master, Operation Condor and JC's Who am I. If you wanted to give Chan a chance in a not-so-silly movie I'd suggest Crime Story.

100% agree. So many bad movies I have watched as a result of this movie.

Chuck Norris is selling his Texas home. Yahoo had some pictures from a real estate listing showing the inside. He has a Michael Dudikoff poster in his home gym.

Chuck's younger brother, Aaron, directed Platoon Leader.

Irony: A 19 year old Jackie Chan did many of the stunts in Enter the Dragon and even had a cameo fighting against Bruce Lee.

So you are watching Jackie Chan each time you watch Enter the Dragon. :D
