I say fox. I think they have some of the best shows on the tube. I think NBC is a real close second though.

USA gets a nod for not being afraid to take chances.

Monk, Psych, and Burn Notice (no particular order) have all been wonderful surprises.

Which network bought them? Or is it vice versa? The Shinehart Wig Company?

USA is a NBC Universal product.

Look for Canadian programming to invade the USA lineup in the not too distant future.

I can't say FOX because they have given the quick hook to more shows then any network in recent history. The very foundation of FOX used to be taking chances and that's how they got their start. Now if a show isn't a hit out of the gate it's gone.

Cheers which is one of the greatest show in history had crap for ratings at the start but NBC held out and look wha they got out of that show. To many networks (not just FOX) just don't give shows a chance to find their legs.

FOX had a really funny show called Action about 8 years ago with Jay Mohr. It was clever in the way it poked fun at Hollywood. Sadly, it was cancelled before it found an audience. I kept using the Cheers analogy you menioned, SteelDog, after FOX gave up. If they would have promoted this show better and gave it a chance, I think this could have been a classic like Cheers.
