I think the Rams have the best two with Faulk and Jackson. What do you think?

What?
I think you should start worrying about JJ Arrington.

I'm assuming that you mean THE best RB going into this season and then it's a pretty weird question, since there's really isn't any doubt IMO.

Shaun Alexander is better than everyone else. NO DOUBT!

Faulk was better in his prime, but he has lost a step and Jackson is nowhere near Alexander yet. Jackson got the potential, but not there yet.

Barlow also got the potential, but was a huge disappointment last year. He did play behind a terrible line, so it's pretty hard to give blame Barlow for everything.

The Cardinals perhaps got the best dept, but also huge question marks. Shipp is a servicable starter when healthy, Hambrick is just a notch below. Arrington could turn out to be great, but we don't know that yet.

THE BEST RB:
Shaun Alexander

BEST RBs:
1. Seahawks (Alexander is the best and Morris a decent back-up)
2. Rams (Best One-Two punch, but Faulk has lost a step and Jackson is still somewhat unproven)
3. Cards (Solid group with good depth. Arrington got great potential, but we don't know if he can play.
4. 49'ers (Barlow has more potential than Shipp, but less than Arrington. The Cards have much better depth than the 49'ers pushing Barlow and friend down to the last place in the NFC West)

The best would be Shaun Alexander, at least based on last year's stats.

If I were to pick a starter out of the list I would take Alexander. Since we do not have that option I am very happy getting JJ think he and Shipp we rotate as starter.

Well thought out post  . I think the Cardinals now have a very similar rushing attack to the Rams. Arrington is our version of Faulk and Shipp is our Jackson. I agree that we have great depth. Shipp isn't a star, but he is a solid RB that will make a good one two punch with Arrington.

I like Alexander but I think Jackson will be something special. He has speed and power and should have played more last year.

Barlow hasn't done much and Arrington is a complete unknown.

Alexander is a special back, but he plays in Seattle. Alexander is one of the top 3 or 4 backs in the league. His attitude is sometimes a problem, but I would take him here anytime.

seriously - who ever voted for anyone other than the guy who scored 18 TDs and rushed for 1700 yards needs to be checked for a lobotomy.

Does it mean anything that Alexander just may not be playing for Seattle this year? As far as I know he still hasn't signed his franchise tender and if he does then that leaves Seattle no room to sign their draft picks.

I'm pretty sure once the tag is applied it counts against the cap, signed or not.

But if they find a trading partner then it won't count. In esscence they need to trade him or sign him to a new contract that gives them more cap space this season or they can't sign their rookies. Or they have to cut other players. Seeing as how they just signed some of those players to new contracts, that doesn't seem likely. Simply put, with Alexanders desire to play elsewhere, it appears he just might be getting his wish. I wish the Cards could work out something, he is the real deal.
