Michigan State basketball has done it again. After yet another slow start, the Spartans were able to lock in and pull ahead for another NCAA Tournament win over a tough Ole Miss squad.
It was definitely not an easy win, and fans were understandably anxious throughout the game, with Ole Miss holding a lead for the majority of the game with their tough defense and the strong play of Sean Pedulla, Malik Dia, and Matthew Murrell, so it was almost pure ecstasy on social media after the game as MSU fans watched their team pull ahead in the final minutes and ultimately take home the win, 73 to 70.
As Spartan fans turned to watch the outcome of Michigan and Auburn to find out which team they will be facing next, social media was going crazy celebrating yet another win in this improbable season for the Spartans. You can see the best reactions to the win below:

Great win by my Spartans to advance to the Elite 8! At the end of the game, our defense and going perfect from the free throw line in the last two minutes of the game was the key to this victory.
I couldn't be at the game today as I'm with my Dodgers getting my 17th championship… https://t.co/b1zzb9tFAr

One game away from an MSU-Michigan Elite Eight matchup that would tear apart the peninsula.

The Michigan State Spartans are heading to their first Elite Eight since 2019.
For the 11th time in his 30 years at the helm, Tom Izzo is heading to a regional final. What an unbelievable job he has done with this team. They made EVERY closing play.

Michigan State is just an awesome and fun team. Izzo didn't go rummaging too much through the portal, he just developed a bunch of dawgs. Hope this run keeps going.
