Given the size and scope of whats happened this weekend, is this the greatest weekend for the states football teams ever?

Arizona destroys #5 Oregon.

ASU wins @ #14 UCLA to clinch the Pac South.

Cardinals obliterating a highly regarded Colts team and moving to 7-4.

The quality of play of the state's football teams appears to be directly correlated with the amount of rainfall during any particular weekend.

I'm with Chris. It's great but both college teams still playing for meaningless bowl games.

The SB is the greatest football spectacle ever and we made it.

lol, truth. I will have to remember that the next time we get 48 straight hours of rain and bet accordingly.

Excuse me. There is another team in the state

Northern Arizona beat Southern Utah 20-10 to finish regular season at 9-2

The Jacks open playoffs at home next Saturday

Touche! That cements it.

And back on the weather/football aside; I attended NAU for my undergrad, and on weekends like this I always expected the Walkup Skydome to collapse under the weight of the snow, similar to what ended up happening to the Vikings stadium.

It would have been perfect with an ASU loss.. Can't have it all I suppose.

Ef u shane!

I'm a lumberjack and I'm ok.

Just because you are an Alum and excited for them doesn't hide the fact that a majority of AZ could really care less. lol :D

The Rose Bowl is not a meaningless Bowl game. 17 million reasons why it is not.

I'm pretty sure ASU still has a shot at a BS game if they can beat Stanford. Right? :p

Easily yes. Never seen anything like it. I even watched the NAU win on the internet which was completely worthwhile. Everything completely fell into place for one great weekend. I fall on the ASU side of the rift, but the UofA game made me happy as hell too.

Definitely a statement weekend for the state. Loved it.

Agreed.

second best weekend of football ever for the state.

but nothing can come close to the euphoria of the NFC Title game weekend. I swear, Phoenicians were walking five feet above the ground that entire Saturday and were in heaven come Sunday.

I'm actually happy for "ALL" the Arizona teams this weekend, believe it or not even UofA.
