Draft order is incredibly overrated to begin with. Some years, it's all about getting that #1 overall pick so you can get a LeBron James or a Tim Duncan, but many times, even getting one of the first ten overall will get you exactly what you need. If your scouts know what they're doing, then even second-rounders whom nobody else expects anything from turn out to be difference-makers or bigtime stars. Case in point: superstars like Gilbert Arenas (31st overall), Carlos Boozer (34th overall), and Manu Ginobiliiiiiii (57th overall) were all second round picks.
