People with knowledge of the decision say Big 12 leaders have agreed to invite TCU to join the fractured league as early as the 2012 football season. The offer to TCU will be extended sometime in the next few days, according to two people with ties to the Big 12. The people spoke only on condition of anonymity because the league has not announced the decision.

TCU is losing integrity, if they ever had any. They are league shopping for money.

Big East should sue Big 12 and TCU for expenses incurred.

TCU is using an out clause in their Big East contract, think it's costing them $5 million. Nothing the Big East can do about it.

Wow. $5mill for a "never mind". Makes me think the Big 12 is kicking in some of those $$$$$$ to TCU to save their own conference, if possible.

Why are they loosing integrity? as opposed to any other team that has conference hopped? Or any conference that has poached other teams?

Big East offered TCU a better deal that the MWC. They took it. Then the ACC/ESPN took Syracuse and Pitt. BE is no longer attractive. TCU then gets a better offer from a league that makes more sense geographically.

What a mess this expansion has been. As a Boise fan it was exciting to learn they were moving up to the MWC. Then over the course of them looking at the conference to accepting Utah, BYU, were gone. TCU was gone after this year, and it appears Airforce may be as well.

Rumors have Boise going to the Big East for football only, ironically because the Big East needs Boise's BCS appearances to keep AQ status. Don't think that will happen, but it's out there.
