Nice picture :)

Oh and since the offseason is so slow...

A month ago there was lots of speculation that the Phoenix Suns were in negotiations with lithuanian PG Sarunas Jasikevicius.

Apparently the Mavericks and Jazz also were in the picture but in the media there were some rumors he is set to join the Suns.

Right now he signed a one year 600.000$ contract with Macabi Tel-Aviv. But some people say that he got a NBA clause until after the EC tournament.

On the court he is a little cocky but he is probably the best european PG. He is 27 years old.

Last night he kicked Marko Jaric' butt for 21 points and 11 assists.

So far he is averaging 15ppg 8.3apg in 28.5mpg.

They must be playing on a 9 ft. rim. :)

Slin, do you think there's really any chance that they will sign that point guard? Any recent news on him?

Thanks for the pics.

When I saw that first pick of the PG I thought it was Jason Williams. :(

That pic of Jake must have been from the first half of the game yesterday. He got four quick fouls at the beginning of the third quarter and they pulled him. He only got back in for a couple of minutes later, missed both his shots and got pulled again. Too bad they lost. Still that's an awesome pic. I don't see any flab on them bones. :D

Big Jake definitely lost some weight and he seems to be quicker and more athletic.
He still won't lead Suns' fastbreaks and won't dunk from the FT-line over Olowokandi but he probably became athletic enough to get 20 min./game from Frank Johnson.

If we get 20-25 minutes from Jake I think we'll all be happy.

Jesus -Big Jake looks like a monster in that picture. You know what I like the most about that dunk -his arms are bent -which means he's actually off the ground and not just barely dunking.

Jasikevicius had 14 points 10 rebounds 7 assists today as Lithuania beat France.

Tony Parker had 24 points 3 rebounds 2 assists on 8-23 shooting.

Jasikevicius is leading the entire tournament with an 8.0apg average which is almost twice as much as #2.

Lithuania routed Germany, beat Serbia-Montenegro convincingly and eliminated France to face Spain in the finals.

If I remember correctly, Lithuania is the team that Donnie Nelson coached for a while. They almost beat the US team and he quit after that.

He probably knows all about this point guard.

Don Nelson is an assistant coach for Lithuania like Rolando Blackman is an assistant coach for Germany.

I don't think that it's serious.

Would Suns need another PG with Barbosa as their backup PG?
Would Suns pay more than 600.000 for Jasikevicius?

The answers are no and no, IMO.

I talked to a few people who have seen this kid play, and they are comparing him to Sharunas Marchulionis.

I don't think the Suns need another point guard, but again, it can't hurt.

Yeah I think that the rumor is pretty much dead since he signed a 1 year deal with Maccabi but there is still some rumors that he could opt out of that deal.

Where did you see it, what channel...was it fox sports world, cause I might change my cox digital from either the movie tier and starz to movie tier and hbo or showtime, or sports tier and starz.

Basically the movie tier is 10 bucks mandatory..or you could have one of the other two in its place, but since the starz super pack is supposed to be about 15 channels, why am I paying for the movie tier AND starz $10 extra for only 6 more channels?

Especially when whatever comes on starz goes on the movie tier later, so I wouldn't miss anything. Plus espn classic would be cool...during the prevue thing they showed usfl stuff..thats classic as I was only five, six, and seven when they were around, so I missed it thanx to my non-sports loving dad (but its all good).

Thanx guys/gals
