The men's Big Ten Tournament is underway with the action continuing Friday and through the weekend until a champion is crowned Sunday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Friday's action marks the first time we'll see Michigan State, UCLA, Maryland and Michigan -- the top four seeds in tourney -- in play after they earned a bye into the quarterfinal round.
There's been no real major upsets as of yet and only one overtime affair, which came when Rutgers rallied and forced double overtime after trailing by 11 against USC at halftime, but came up short in a 97-89 loss against the Trojans in the first round Wednesday night.
All seven teams that are ranked in the Top 25 in the country will take the floor Friday afternoon, starting with Michigan State, the No. 7 ranked team in the country and top-seed in the tournament, taking on No. 8 Oregon at 12 p.m.
Who will advance to the semifinals and be one win away from earning a spot in the conference championship? Here are our predictions for the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal matchups:
No. 1 Michigan State 80, No. 8 Oregon 74
No. 5 Wisconsin 71, No. 4 UCLA 70
No. 2 Maryland 75, No. 7 Illinois 67
No. 6 Purdue 68, No. 3 Michigan 65
Starting this afternoon, the quarterfinals will air on the Big Ten Network (BTN).
When it comes down to the final four schools competing for the conference championship this weekend, the action will move to CBS and streaming on Paramount+ for the semifinals and finals on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16.
