Agreed, we were pretty pass happy for most of the game. Hopkins is badass.
I was hoping for an Andy appearance in the second half. Kirk was meh . .Niners have a very good defense.
Very happy with the win.

This game would have gone the other way in 25 of the last 30 seasons. First good thing to happen in 2020. Amazing victory. And yes, Kyler Murray and Hopkins are the top offensive tandem in the league. Just wait until they get on the same page. Phenomenal win

We exited preseason and entered regular season with a lot of knowledge gaps that made it hard to know whether (a) we improved talent at certain positions or (b) whether we learned how to play well enough as a team.

We had no game tape to figure this out and had to rely on what the pundits and our fellow Card fans had to say.

The SF game suggests that the talent is there, but we still have a ways to go as far as playing as a team.

I feel our talent is better than OK but there's still a teamwork gap that we've closed somewhat but can be closed further.

Danger is that we'll believe our press clippings. We're better but by no means elite.

Yes definately could have gone the other way. The fact that this D kept it in reach until Kyler and Co. could start to respond was BIG.
Looking on Kyler to grow and let things develop a little bit more before unloading so quickly. But a definate game to grow and build on for the offense.

SF offense shows a lot of mis direction, and I thought we did ok considering first game. This D will get better, and I hope Kliff reduces the number of horizontal pass plays. Way to much sideways football. More north and south, and one deep ball isn’t enough
