I do not know that that.

Bradford was signed at a time where the QB position has never been more important, and the Cardinals had no QB's on the roster.

You have to sign someone to play the position, and with Free agency being before the draft, I do not think there was much of a choice.

Then the guy is put in a situation with some of the worst NFL coaches you will ever see, and a offensive coordinator who has been fired twice midseason.

I cannot see that being the worst free agent bust in this team's history, they have had some horrible, horrible signings through the years.

Dexter Jackson pops into my mind. Adam Snyder who is on this list. I am sure we can think of some more.

Glad Bradford was cut but I was hopeful he was the next veteran QB the Cards acquired that was extremely successful with the Cards.

I guess the 3rd time isn't the charm.

Did Dexter Jackson really have 6 interceptions in his one season for the Cardinals like the article noted? That seems pretty good. I remember him being a bust but don’t remember the 6 picks.

I don’t feel SB was our biggest FA let down, but from a $$ vs production standpoint, he is probably the biggest bust.

This from a dollar to production standpoint Bradford is easily the biggest bust. All the other guys made it at least one season or more, Bradford couldn't even make it past 8 games. To me that is a bust of epic proportions.

Pretty sure the Jets got a draft pick for Teddy Bridgewater's preseason work. Seems like that may have been a better option.
Ummmmm.. T B was a tough call. Bradford = nagging injuries. Bridgewater = had to have leg sewn back on.

Looks as if Taysom Hill has a better chance to be next man up.

Jets received a 2019 3rd rounder for T B. Jags turned down a Dante Fowler Jr. for T B trade last offseason.

Hell no, I mean did you really have high expectations even if you did no way you thought he could make it through the season healthy

So I hear you saying that Bridgewater was the better choice. Lower cost. Better history. Similar health concerns.

Yes, I believe he is. I don't care about McCoy's offense, Sam has been around and in enough systems to be far better than he was. He was obviously scared to get hit and was just throwing the ball anywhere as soon as he got it in his hand. Plus, those passes rarely went very far. He was a shell of his previous mediocre self.

Way too much money poured down the Bradford drain.

He’s been highly overrated by most NFL personell imo. I almost puked in my mouth the day we signed him & had VERY LOW expectations for him given his mediocre play.

With that said, biggest FA bust? Hell no! Got to be Duane Starkes followed closely by Dexter Jackson & Adam Snyder. imo.

Dexter Jackson and Duane Starks didn't pay off as advertised. Emmitt Smith was way past his prime so he doesn't count. Freddie Jones didn't really pan out. Todd Heap couldn't stay healthy. Iupati has given us exactly one productive season. But the worst free agent signing in my opinion goes to Gary Hogeboom. Jay Schroeder is a close 2nd.

Who was that LB Graves signed for $25mil for 5 years and never started a game? That was a pretty big bust. We knew Bradford was mediocre or bust, still a stupid move, but it was over quickly and I enjoy Rosen, so totally worth it.

oh my lord... the guy from the Eagles, who had been injured a bunch before we signed him as well.

That was the all injury off-season: Kolb, LBer who's claim to fame was the GIF of him celebrating a sack in the fourth quarter of a pre-season game and Heap. I remember being TRASHED by the majority of the board who were over the moon about those signings and me making the argument that all the guys were either washed up or would be injured throughout their careers.

Edit:
STEWART BRADLEY! That was his name.

Arguably Bradford isn't the worst signing this season

Bradford will cost $5mm or less next year and the team is done

Justin Pugh will still have $10mm of dead money on the cap this offseason-- and he is a guard

There were plenty of other free agents on defense that never really came through big for us...

Dexter Manley
Keith McCants
Dave Duerson
Brent Alexander

...just to name a few.

You could’ve called him the biggest bust in Cards history before the ink dried on his contract. I sure did.

Never understood it, never will. I would’ve rather rolled with a QB room of John Skelton, Ryan Lindley, and Max Hall

Bust yes but it killed the cap for one season. Bad NBA and MLB contracts set back franchises for years.
