I'm having problems downloading torrents. Actually, it's now not working at all. The torrents are listed, but whenever I try to start them downloading anew, I get this error: Aborting the torrent as it could not connect to the tracker while not connected to any peers.

Any clues as to how to fix that, and what it is?

my first guess would be a firewall keeping you from connecting....other than that i'm not too sure

I agree. Sounds like you have a port blocked not allowing you to connect to peers. Depending on the program they suggest which ports to open. You might have to make sure that it's open on Windows Firewall if your using it and your router.

I have the Norton firewall, and I have no idea how to open ports. I know just enough about computers to fix simple things, and then get myself into trouble on tougher problems :)

Disable the firewall while you download
Also, I use BitComet and haven't had a problem
Just a thought
