The Chicago Blackhawks have a ton of wonderful prospects in the organization. Some of them recently made their NHL debut, a handful of them are with the Rockford IceHogs, and many more are developing across the world.
One of those players is Sacha Boisvert. Chicago selected Boisvert with the 18th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
During the 2024-25 season, Boisvert played college hockey at the University of North Dakota. Blackhawks fans love a two-way center playing at North Dakota, as that's the path that Jonathan Toews took to the NHL.
However, unlike Toews, Boisvert will be transferring out of North Dakota following his freshman season. After a few weeks of speculation, Boisvert announced on social media that he will be taking his talents to Boston University.

Sacha Boisvert (@BoisvertSacha) on X#goterriers During his freshman year at North Dakota, he scored 18 goals and had 14 assists for 32 points in 37 games. To come in as a rookie and put up those types of numbers, especially the goal total, suggests that he is going to be special.
With Boston University, he will go play for Jay Pandolfo, who has done wonders for young forwards and their development. He'll also be surrounded by a ton of talented players also looking to make it to the NHL. BU is a wonderful landing spot for him.
There is no telling when Boisvert will be ready for pro hockey, but it could be as soon as the end of next season. Chicago is looking forward to eventually adding a great shooter who plays well in all three zones.
