No options either. Good deal, hope it's frontloaded and Goran signs a similar deal. Nice job FO.

So what's the plan now for the other nine point guards on the roster? I'm sure not seeing any roster-wide strategy here.

It is 10 million under the max. I like Bledsoe has no options on his contract although I would have liked it if the Suns had a 5th year team option. I want to see the details.

Wasn't our offer 4 years, $48 million? Now it is 5 for $70M? Seems like the Suns did more than meet him halfway.

Good deal for both sides. Cap is expected to go up in the next few years so going a few million per year over the last offer is justified. It should be interesting to see how this year plays out as far as Goran is concerned. If he outplays EB then he will want more money than him, and deservedly so.

+2M/year over original offer.

Yeah I don't think 14m per is an outrageous number. A bit more than guys like Lowry, but not a max player either. I'm fine with the contract, as long as this dude can stay healthy and playing. I'd assume a full physical is needed before the deal becomes binding, right?

I was hoping the Suns would get him at $13 million / yr., but I'm OK with this.

I actually prefer a 5 yr / $70 million deal than a 4 yr. / $56 million deal from the Suns perspective. In that 5th year, a $14 million / yr. contract probably won't be a big deal (Because the cap is expected to rise) ... And Bledsoe will still be in his prime

For THIS season I am fine with this many guards, but going into the season after that, and after that, something's got to give (Either Ennis/Goodwin are traded, or Dragic is not signed, or Green is not signed, Bledsoe is traded, etc.) - For now, I don't mind the logjam.

Per season, this is at least a million less money than what the Wolves were willing to pay Bledsoe. It comes out to be 14 million per season for the Suns for 5 years. The Wolves were willing to pay him 15 million plus per season for 4 years based upon what we know.

Isn't 5 years/$80 million the max contract? So it seems closer to what he wanted than what they originally offered.

With no options or opt-out clauses. This makes it a big win for us IMO.

And we all know that our Medical Staff would have had to sign off on this, so I'm pretty happy with the deal.

Good for Bledsoe. I wanted the Suns to sign and trade him, but now that he remains as a Sun I'll cheer for him.

Splitting hairs IMO.

Not quite 2M more to get to max I think. Offered 12, paid 14, max is about 16.

If I understand correctly his max number with less than 7 years in the league is 25% of the cap which is 63.2M this year so 15.8. As cap goes up the deal will look better if he stays healthy.

I wonder if Bledsoe has already taken his physical.

Now, let's move on to signing Zoran and then the Suns making some probable trades down the line.

The deal is fine. It's how it was reached, and the pointless wheel-spinning moves that the Suns made while this delay played out, that is the problem. Are they still bringing in Zoran Dragic? Why? What's happening with Ennis? How does Thomas feel about his minutes having just gotten slashed?

There are zero minutes for Zoran unless (a) someone gets hurt, (b) you're going to move him ahead of Tucker and/or Green in the rotation, or (c) he's going to play PF.

If he becomes a 20/8 guy who makes as big a difference on the defensive end as many claim, then he is well worth $14M per year and will be seen as a bargain. He is making less per year than both Chandler Parsons and Gordon Hayward, and has more star potential than either of those guys.
