I'm gonna continue to hold Beldsoe to the highest of standards as, well, he believes he's worthy of that treatment given his contract demands this past offseason.
So, thus far this season, as I look at development and improvement, while he continues to show flashes of brilliance every now and then, IMHO, I honestly can't say his development has been anything close to what should be expected of him, given his belief that he is a max player...
Meanwhile, the development in Len has been dramatic - in just about all phases of his game, including passing!
For me, I can clearly see where Len is heading... Which is, if he remains healthy, he'll be a top tier (perhaps top 3 big man). Bledsoe? I honestly have no idea where he is heading. I see very little refinement in his game. I'm left wondering if we have already seen his best... What is his top end? What should we realistically expect from Bledsoe? What exactly is he in the NBA??

Bledsoe is difficult to judge since a big part of his game is on the defensive end. Last night he only took 8 shots, but held Kyrie Irving to 9 points on 4-14 shooting. So not sure how that fits into the traditional analysis.

I agree with the tone of the OP. Sometimes I get a glimpse of the $70M Bledsoe, but mostly, no. My kids and I have really enjoyed watching Len improve, however.

Last night, Dragic was on Irving a bit as well and forced a couple of TOs, so I am not sure how to divvy up the 4-14 credit....

And if looks that way to us, imagine how it looks to the teams who might need a Lead Point Guard.

If the Suns don't act as though any of the three are a 20-10 Point Guard, why would they?

And if we are doing it to preserve a lead Point Guard with reduced minutes and stats, they would have to. Hey, maybe we can offer two of our three as a combined high stats package. :)

Um. I have no idea what this means.

I think Bledsoe has been playing his tail off lately. Much better than when the season started. He is also looking for Len more and honing that part of his game.
He's won a few games for us. The Knicks game comes to mind. He's been big in a few others also.

Both he and Isaiah need to work on their ball handling skills, sometimes I'd like to see Dragic handling the ball a little bit more.

But overall, with the $$ that's thrown around the league, I think he's earning it relative to whats out there, and the team is winning AND getting better, bottom line.

To me the five starters are set. The others have to fight for their minutes.

Playing against the Knicks shouldnt be an accomplishment. There are high school basketball players who could dominate the Knicks.

EB's stats from bleacher report through January 6.

Previous 26 games: 17.1 PPG, 6.0 APG, 5.4 RPG, TS 56%

10-game stretch: 20.8 PPG, 6.3 APG, 6.3 RPG, TS 57%

Look pretty good to me, should get better.

Probably because you look at actions as being based on trying to win games instead of being based upon trying to trade your own players.
Some people seem to think the Suns complete focus should be on trading a guard because the team is broken somehow.

I agree Bledsoe has been slow to develop this season but I think he will continue to improve and I don't think his salary is outrageous in the scope of the whole NBA.

Len's progress has been dramatic because not long ago he wasn't even playing and was a complete mystery even though he was improving behind the scenes.

Unbalanced.

Hopefully, it was all a plan to assemble BPA's regardless of position in preparation for a blockbuster trade. We will see, before too much longer, if that is the case.

Hand in hand with winning games is building a foundation for future and continued growth in the NBA.

They added a big man that can get minutes and a SG with some size on defense. Pretty much shored up the roster with these moves.

I don't know of any disgruntled superstars on the trade block.
I don't think a blockbuster trade is coming.

I think this is pretty much the team we have until summer.
