Zach Werenski(22), Adam Fantilli(28, 29), and Dmitri Voronkov(22) scored the goals for Columbus, while Jet Greaves was fabulous, stopping 29 Washington shots.

The Columbus Blue Jackets swept the Washington Capitals in back to back games this weekend, outscoring them 11-1 in two games. Goalie Jet Greaves, who made his 3rd NHL start in 4 days and 4th in 5 days, including the AHL, stopped all but one shot this weekend. He's also stopped 90 of 93 shots since his call-up.

The Blue Jackets will now be rooting hard for the Chicago Blackhawks to beat the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. If the Habs lose, the CBJ will be alive when they take the ice on Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. If the Habs win, the Jackets' playoff hopes end, with one game left to play.

The Jackets have guaranteed themselves to finish over .500. They now have a record of 38-33-9 with 85 points. They sit three points behind Montreal.

Everyone will be watching the Canadiens and Blackhawks on Monday night.

Special Notes

  • Zach Werenski, with his 22nd goal, breaks his own record for goals by a D-Man in a single season. His 78 points is also one behind Rick Nash(79) for 3rd all-time in points in season.
  • Adam Fantilli becomes the 4th Blue Jacket to record a multi-goal game in consecutive nights. He joins Patrik Laine, Scott Hartnell, and RJ Umberger on that list.
