Try booting it to a Windows disk and run a chkdsk /f at the command prompt.

Turn the system on, and as it starts to boot up, begin pressing the F8 key. A menu should pop up, select safe mode without networking. This should bring you up to the desktop, although you'll see "safe mode" on the screen and everything will be large. You can use whatever virus programs you have to try and fix the problem.

I have XP on my computer. I got the blue screen once and all I could do was reformat my hard drive. My brother has Vista and he used to get the blue screen, but when he would restart it would be ok for a while. He had the problem at first but doesn't seem to get it anymore. I think it was just something with Vista.

If you keep getting the screen no matter what you do you might just want to reformat.
