Probably similar to using your phone on speaker. The stand is magnetic and for charging only. It will also stream your tunes through the speaker.

OMG. I am going to have to pony up for one. Don't think I would use it in public but I want one just the same. There was a company a few years ago that was going to make a fully functional phone replica using this same idea but I think it was killed before it ever hit the market.
