Charles Gosa(Dingey) is probably one of the best players I've ever played against. We went to the same high school(Carl Hayden), although he graduated before I even got there. He, Gerald Brown, the Colter brothers, and others used to come in for scrimmages and to talk to us.

The Rhymes family produces basketball players like pillsbury makes dough. :D

Bo always does this in the summer leagues. It never translates to an NBA game though.

Do you all forget how good the NBA is? Anyone who has watched the Suns knows that Outlaw uses his body well and is surprisingly adept at finishing around the basket.

He doesn't have the body, moves, or mindset to be a big-time scorer in the NBA, and he's committed enough to the team concept to defer to better options. But to suggest that he isn't a superb basketball player is absurd. Do you really think he got this far without having learned how to put the ball in the basket, extremely well? If you were to put him in a lesser European league, or up against college kids, or anything other than top-flight competition, he'd run them over. Just like we see every summer.

If some of you think that you're as good as Bo Outlaw because he doesn't score much in the NBA, you need a small dose of reality.

Huh? Where did you infer that from?

I understand the "if", but what made you say it in the first place? Nobody on this board thinks they're as good as any NBA player. We wouldn't be posting on this board if that was the case, right?

Yeah, I'm only 6'1", so I have to settle on being as good as Stephon Marbury, darn it! :D

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm, 5' 8" (in shoes), 40 years old, crippled by a 10 inch vert, and of course have limited skills, I would be just as good as Bo. :D

I sure does seem that Bo just loves to play basketball. Every year he goes to the summer leagues and plays like a madman.

Bo's also freakishly athletic. He really doesn't get a lot of credit for it, but at 6'9, he's got an incredible verticle leap.

Anyone in need of a 39 year old, 220 lb, 5'10", point guard, who sets screens like a brick wall, dribbles through defenses like a super slow motion Marcus Haynes, has a wicked left and right handed flying hook shot, and can pinpoint behind the back pass to anyone on the run? :D Usually when I play with some guys the first time, they are AMAZED a short, fat, white guy can play like I do. Kinda like seeing Lawrence Welk jam with Jimmy Hendricks!!! I can score, but I am all about the assist. If I can play with tall guys that can dunk, I just LOVE that!! I could set Bo up for 60, easy!!! LOL! :D
