Bob pretty much hates everything...I heard his intro the the Cards draft this morning....he brought up two things I had not heard before:

1. He said one team had Levi Brown "redlined" due to knee problems. Hopefully someone heard the followup to this....sure he talked about it more later (I am not listening now).
2. Bob said we reached for Buster Davis...he said most experts thought he was 4th or 5th round material..indicated he is small...and slow..

I read some mocks...Buster was 3rd round in the ones I found...
First I have heard that Levi brown knee injury during the 2006 may be more serious than we thought..

if anyone is listening...let me know the followup...I only listened briefly as it is the only local sports programming in the Phoenix market between 12:00 and 1:00.... Leave it to Bob to rain on the parade!

1. Grimm supposedly put him through an intense workout. If there were knee problems, I'm sure that we would have found it.

2. I have seen Buster taken in the 3rd as well.

Graves commented on this at the press conference at the end of day 1:

(RG): “We had reviewed some medical issues on all of the players with our medical staff and they all looked into all of that and didn’t have any concerns in that area.”

Levi Brown sprained his knee in early October 2006 and had it scoped. Returned to game action two weeks later. Played poorly for two weeks, but then returned to form for the remainder of the year.

If Brown gets "redlined" for a scope job -- how is it the Joe THomas with a blown ACL surgery doesnt?

Because it was last year in Wisconsin's bowl and he showed no slow down from before when he returned. While as you stated, Brown played shotty when he initially returned.

If one team, who may or may not have needed a tackle or may have been picking too late to take Levi, redlines him, who cares? Maybe Cleveland redlined him does that matter?

Sadly, the Cards medical staff got their degrees at University of Phoenix. :(

Brown came back in two weeks from a 4-6 week kind of injury

maybe he should have sat out the extra two weeks

I am actually a big supporter of these types of educational environments. It's not the same thing, but I am trying to procure a spot as an instructor for continuing education programs at Houston Community College--I should have pursued a degree in History so that I could be a professor, but I foolishly did not go that route. So I figured I'd try to get involved with it anyway I can.

So far, I've been in touch with admin (and submitted some course ideas) but I'm not sure it's going anywhere.

Follow up with it man, try doing it at UoP, im not sure what your credientials are or what u need but its worth a shot. I enroll students everyday who are so thrilled once they get in class because they find how educational it really can be and how 20 other people are in the same class arguing all the same thing boosting each others knowledge on everything. It's really cool what this school does for the older crowd and how interactive it has become.

PS: I will be alumni from here before long also ; )
