Boisesuns Weekly Top 25: Week One Edition

Each week, I will update the standings with records and a short blurb on why each team is where it stands. A team that loses will fall in the rankings pretty far. Basically you can move up far by winning big games, and you can move up steadily, by winning the games you are supposed to.

College Football is under away. Poll will be updated After FSU vs Miami game tonight

1. Ohio State-Stays at #1, but should have beat Northern Ill, by more points. Texas up next.
2. Texas - The team looks strong, but them again North Texas isn't exacly something to get fired up about. Next week at Ohio State should be something to get exited about.
3. Southern Cal-Points, Points, Points. So far the team looks deep, but can they survive the pac 10 scedule?
4. Auburn-Good opening win Against Washington State. Irons looks like a dominate back.
5. Notre Dame- If anything, credit should be given to Georgia Tech rather than saying ND had a bad game. That said, ND might not be as good as the over the top hype suggests.
6. West Virginia- Looked like the fine tuned offense we saw last year.
7. Florida- Started slow, but experience and talent came out on top.
8. Louisiana State-Good opening win, but the SEC schedule is looming on the horizon.
9. Louisville- The offense was unstoppable, but Bush's broken leg will hurt the team on the ground.
10. Florida State- Opens the season against Miami, could be a great start to the season with a big win, or another wrinkle for Bobby.
11. Miami-Florida- Suspensions abound, but they still have a failry important Florida State Game to play- The Jail Bowl
12. Tennessee- Big first Game win VS Cal. Is the old Tennessee back?
13. Michigan-Do they finally have some help on the ground?
14. Iowa-Big games are coming for Iowa, and Montana was a nice start to get ready.
15. Georgia-How will the offense be this year? Wait and see when they play a tougher opponent.
16. Virginia Tech- Good shutout win to open the season.
17. Oklahoma-Ran into a decent UAB team, but in order to be a top team, you need to beat those teams by more points. If they didn;t have Peterson, they would have lost.
18. Nebraska- Is Nebraska back? The big 12 season will be a great test to see if they really are.
19. Penn State- Season opener was decent, but they'll need to turn it up a notch with their upcomming games.
20. Clemson-Will things be different this year for Clemson, or will they lose some games early?
21. Texas Tech- Run N Gun and no defense. Can it last? Good opening win.
22. Oregon-Team looks good and adds a new demention with a scrambling QB
23. Arizona State- NAU played tough, but ASU pulled Away.
24. UCLA- Win against Utah puts them in the Top 25
25. California-Loss to Tennessee puts them almost out of the Top 25
