Well drop my drawers and call me double outtie belly button, I'm as shocked as a meth head cutting through power lines. I refuse to believe it. Barry put on 40lbs of muscle in less than a year naturally through flaxseed oil. Every body builder knows that if you want to get big, flaxseed oil is the way. He must have had whiskey the night before. (Floyd Landis defense)

Am I laying the sarcasm on a little thick?

I think this story should be read, re-read and bolded by anyone who read the intial report and piled on further. It's too often we cast the stone and then overlook when these reports are in fact wrong.

what a bunch of B.S. that the report is erroneous. This corrective headline sure as hell wasn't splashed in "Breaking News" across ESPN.com when mentioning the initial report was in fact an error.

Barry Bonds is a flawed man but the type of crap he puts up with, including slander and libel as indicated above, is pretty ludicrious.

You beat me to it arizonas finest. Interesting that they made that huge of an error. He still tested positive though in 2000 which allowed him to get bigger before his record breaking year.

I saw a story on my computer homepage when it fired up in last couple weeks saying Rocker and others had tested positive in 2000 and Selig sent down coaches to teach them how not to get caught. Not sure if that had been posted or the accuracy of the story.

I heard the same thing.

Now THIS is why he does not deserve an asterisk.

What Congress should be investigating is why baseball doesnt have an independent commisioner looking out for the best interests of the game. Congress should tell MLB either hire an independent commisioner or loose the anti-trust exemption. Selig is the criminal. He facilitated the steroid abuse. He doesnt demand independent testing for HGH and other banned substances. Take the blood and keep it on ice until there is a test for HGH. If a player tests positive after the fact purge him from the records with lifetime ban. If the union doesnt like it then lock them out. It is time to fix baseball no matter the cost. He allowed bandbox stadiums to be built. He allowed advertising on every square inch of stadium viewed by cameras. Telecasts of baseball are really 3-4 hours of constant advertising with baseball as an afterthought. He has created this luxury tax system that does not fix the competitive balance problem. FIRE SELIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIRE BOB COSTAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
