I saw Hollywood say that he didn't know about coming to the forums through the frontpage, and that's because I mainly just announced that in the Cards forum...but I should have done it everywhere.
The forums are obviously the biggest and busiest part of the site, but the frontpage can earn us more money if we get more traffic there. Since we can sell individual ads on the front, they are better for us than the Google ads.
So to help the traffic improve on the frontpage, we asked everyone to change their bookmarks from going directly to the forums, to going through the frontpage, and then clicking on the forums.
This at least helps us get all our uniques and more pageviews than if people just came to the forums.
