Boston looking at getting Pujols?

I found this rumor on a Red Sox board. I don't know how valid it is but you would think Theo Epstein is looking to make a move now that the Yankees got A-Rod. Here is the rumor from the Boston board.



St. Louis sports talk is speculating a Pujols to Boston deal.
Background: Cards can't pay Pujols what he deserves, looking to dump him for $.

Boston: Kim, Ortiz, and prospect/cash
St. Louis: Pujols

I see a lot of flaws in this, most notably - Ortiz can't play in the NL having to play the field 150 games a year.

I agree about Ortiz, he has played mostly DH. I think the Cardinals could get a ton more for one of the best young talents in the game. The Cardinals are forever in need of pitching, they have a lot of talent on offense

Boston still pissed of Nomar and has to pay him some money, who knows if he will even resign....who knows what they do

Anyone think that Boston and St. Louis would to Ramirez for Pujols? I mean, it would work out for both teams I guess. Boston would have to most likely pay some of Pujols' contract.
