CLEVELAND — Righty Cooper Criswell will be the 27th man on the Red Sox’ active roster for Saturday’s doubleheader against the Guardians at Progressive Field.

He has allowed just one run in 11 innings for the WooSox. He began the season on Boston’s 26-man roster and allowed eight runs (five earned runs) in 4 ⅓ innings over three relief outings.
Righty Tanner Houck (0-2, 7.66 ERA) will start Game 1 for Boston opposite Cleveland righty Ben Lively (1-2, 3.86 ERA).
Red Sox righty Walker Buehler (3-1, 4.23 ERA) is scheduled to start the 6:10 p.m. game opposite Guardians pitching prospect Doug Nikhazy, a lefty who will make his MLB debut.
