My current desktop machine would not even run Madden.
It will be a few weeks until I get it but I am still psyched.
What do you think did I do good?

That's good to hear.
A one year warranty comes with the machine, obiviously they push the three year warranty which costs extra.
I feel fairly comfortable with just the one year.
The three year is an extra $265.00
What does everyone else think?

Alienware is just a brand name like Dell or Compaq.

Your post is first because they reset the clock on the server. It was set 8 hours ahead so posts at 7:00pm yesterday show a time stamp of 3:00am this morning. The thread lists the posts by time stamp.

I think its a bad deal.
- You are already covered for a year
- If a part is defective, it will most likely show up within the 1st year
- If its past a year, you would probably want to get a better/faster/cheaper component anyway.

I hate service contracts in general, especially for electronics.

I agree, I'll just stay with the one year.
