Bourn traded to the Orioles

Anyone think this is a good trade? Doesn't sound like they are getting a player in return, but I could be wrong. They haven't stated what they are getting from the Orioles yet.

Considering he was a guy we picked up off the scrap heap, it's tough to call any trade with him a bad trade. With Pollock back and September call ups right around the corner, he probably wouldn't get much playing time over the last few weeks of the season anyway. Not a lot of downside to the trade.

Update (10:01 PM EDT): The Diamondbacks will receive Single-A outfielder Jason Heinrich from the Orioles.


I think this is a case of the D'backs doing right by a veteran player, who had no future with the team anyway. Good for Bourn.

No biggie - Bourn was a stop-gap one year deal. We need to have Pollock and others that will be with the club next year get his at-bats and playing time.

Gives Bourn a chance for the post-season. Win-win

He did well for the team. I do like how we traded him though as he would have been sitting the bench more now that AJ was back. Giving him a chance to play more on another team.
