Saw this today at the Cine Capri...one of the best movies I've seen this summer...maybe not like "Oscar" kind of good, but as a spy thriller, action movie, it floored anything else I've seen.

I Robot sucked compared to this movie.

Loved the shaky camera stuff, made me feel like I was right in the action.

No, why?

Just curious. The books have been around for years and were Ludlum's most popular novels/character.

I've read the Bourne Identity a couple times. Have all 3 of the original Bourne books, going to buy the Bourne Legacy once it hits paperback.

I prefer to read the book before I see a movie based on it. Some people don't care, or just don't read much anyway.

I love to read, and I haven't read them...

So what about the movie? Are you going to see it?

I loved it too Mike. Just saw it. Thought it was very good!

I wouldnt say that I, Robot sucked compared to it though. To entirely different movies.

I went to see this over the weekend. We were at the Scottsdale 101 and in the second largest theatre compared to Cine Capri. Unfortunately, we had to sit too close to the screen and could not completely enjoy it.

Aside from that, it was definitely worth the price of admission. I'll see it again in hopes of a better seat.

Compared to I, Robot, well I take them both for what they are. Spy and Sci-Fi, both will make quality additions to a DVD library. :)

I just snuck out over lunch and watched it. Good flick.

They really do fight scenes better than any other movie(s) I've seen. I can only hope that other action movies learn these techniques--they must have slowed the camera down and had some monster rehearsals.

Compare the Borne fight scenes with Daredevil's fight scenes and it's night and day. Ben Affleck looks like he's moving in slo-motion, Matt Damon looks more like a super-hero than Affleck does and he's not even wearing the tights.

I also like the way they had Borne disappearing in crowds. It really gave you a sense of annonimity, even in big citie like Berlin, NY and Moscow.

What I didn't like was Julia Stiles in that role. First, she didn't seem old enough to be a field operative, much less a field operative contact/psychologist--I think she was miscast. Second, she never saw the screen again after Borne took her into the subway. Don't know why that bugged me, it just did. It was almost like she couldn't make a few days of shooting so they wrote her out of the movie at that point.

Saw it last night. Good flick.

Have to disagree with Pariah, I did not like the fight scenes. Maybe with a rental on a small screen it would be ok. But the bouncing around, contantly moving the camera, I didnt know who was hitting who, who was winning, nothing. Not only that, I and the 3 ladies I was with were getting sick to our stomachs from motion sickness. Kind of liek the football flick with pacino. Every given sunday.

Julia just looked hot as usual.

And as awlays Matt Damon makes me want to write the book I have always wanted to so I cen get discovered and make it big. (OK he wrote a screenplay and not a book)

Overall I give it 3.25 stars outta 4.

Great movie! I am a big fan of The Bourne Identity and the sequel didn't disappoint. Matt Damon is great in the role of Jason Bourne. Very believable. I am all ready looking forward to the next installment.

I do agree with Pariah about some of the action scenes. The camera gets too close to the action and moves around too much. Especially during the fight scene in the apartment and when the police were chasing Bourne through Berlin.

Just nitpicky criticism though. I will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Nah, Franka Potente is waaaaay more hot than Julia. Also a far better actress. :D
Julia Stiles has never really done anything for me. I think she's a decent actress, but she's never appealed to me as a sex symbol. Also, she always looks like she's 14 to me, which, in my mind, makes her wrong for any role where she's trying to play a woman rather than a girl....

There's a huge difference between lusting after a girl who IS under age, and lusting after a girl who is OF AGE, but just looks like she isn't :D
