**************

I just watched it. I thought that this was one of Turturro’s best performances. I liked the pace of the movie. It gave you plenty of time to sit back and think, and to contemplate what his character was thinking. It was funny to see Dermot Mulroney as the mechanic, I’m used to seeing him as the pretty-boy. It took me a while to recognize Catherine Keener, she looked really different with blond hair.

Box of Moonlight

This is one of the strangest, yet best films I've seen. It's slow moving and odd, so be prepared, but hang with it.... By the end it's like swimming in warm molasses. Great film.

Box of Moonlight (1996)
Starring: John Turturro, Sam Rockwell

Synopsis: Whimsical "middle-aged crisis" fantasy about engineer breaking out of regimented lifestyle. Despite its indie cinema credentials, this warmly quirky, sentimental, life-affirming film is best-appreciated by open-minded fans of mainstream comedies.
