Boy was I wrong on Myles Jack

Just to man up here my comment all along was very good college player, I think he's a better RB than LB(still do) and I think he'll slip a bit on draft day because teams aren't sure what he is.

He's being projected top 5 now without even running the 40 and I saw something last night that said there are some teams that might try to trade up to 4 or 3 to get Jack they like him that much.

Apparently many teams think the time he spent at RB slowed his progress at LB. From what I know that's unlikely, he almost never practiced at RB, they had about 4 plays he knew and that was it. He spent almost all his practice time at LB the RB thing was a short term injury deal and he played so well they stuck with it longer but apparently NFL teams think playing both ways slowed his progress and they think he's going to be a star LB.

Great kid so I am glad to be wrong I hope he goes top 5.

Read a prediction today that the team drafting him would (possibly) announce him as a safety when they send the pick in.

Yeah we talked about that quite a bit on UCLA boards but he was able to put on and keep on weight at UCLA so people assumed he'll be big enough to play LB in the NFL.

He's a great athlete I assumed he'd slip because teams would question if he's big enough but sounds like they're satisfied he is.

Its why Tyrann is a DPOTY despite being 5'9 180. Because the mind > body

There have been plenty of vise versa examples. Logan Thomas. All body, no mind. Vernon Gholston. all body, no mind.

I think JAX is looking hard at him only because every time I've asked about him, I don't get a response. Otoh, I think he falls a bit on draft day because of his injury and think Jax would shy away after losing Fowler last year to injury. But they are going defense that's for sure.

I remember thinking Jack would be there when the Cards picked. Guess, a lot of people were wrong on that.

Miles Jack is alot bigger football player then most think JMO but I see his playing weight around 230 which puts him more in the Luke Kiicley mode of ILBs. Definitely alot bigger than Deone Buccanon whose playing weight is closer to 210.

If the mind is instincts and paying attention to proper form when tackling... then you are right

Also if Jaylon Smith was cleared you would have 2 ILBs coming off knee injuries taken in the top 5 JMO speed at that position is what every team covets almost as much CB or OT in today's NFL

nfl mobile had a report saying one nfl gm says he is a faster version of Ray Lewis....if that is the general consensus.... he wont make it out of the top ten for sure.
