EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Bradley women's basketball season ended Friday with a loss in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
The No. 9-seeded Braves (14-19) lost to high-powered top seed Murray State, 86-50, at Ford Center.
Soleil Barnes led Bradley with 14 points, while Claire McDougall and Ellie McDermid scored nine each for the Braves. BU won 14 games this season — same total as its three previous seasons combined.
The Racers (23-7) — who lead the nation in scoring at 87.7 points per game — jumped ahead 14-2 in the first four-plus minutes and finished the first quarter with a 29-16 lead on 12-for-15 shooting.

Murray State shot 51 percent overall and outrebounded Bradley 46-24 on the way to their eighth straight victory and a semifinal berth 1:30 p.m. Saturday vs. Drake.
Former Bradley player Halli Poock, now at Murray State, scored 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including two 3-pointers. She added four assists and four rebounds against her former team.
Haven Ford added 17 points, three assists and three steals for the Racers, Katelyn Young scored 13 and Ava Learn contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
