Brandin Cooks doesn't stay in one place long. Since leaving the New Orleans Saints after the 2016 season, Cooks has played for four more teams.
Each destination has also resulted in a new jersey number. Cooks has donned the number 3 with the Dallas Cowboys, a slight change from the No. 13 he wore on his chest with the Houston Texans. His jersey rotation is completed with No. 12 with the Los Angeles Rams and No. 14 with the New England Patriots.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling signing with the Seattle Seahawks freed up Cooks' number 10 he wore when the Saints drafted him. Will he go back to it in his return to the Saints? Fans who still have their jerseys from that time would appreciate it.
But Cooks has never worn the same number twice. He changed jersey numbers from Nos. 4 to 7 when going from high school to college. His history of leaving numbers in the past runs deep, but Cooks has also never returned to a team he once played for.
This is uncharted territory, so it'll be interesting to see how Cooks moves forward.
