Brandon Knight undergoes surgery on ankle

Brandon Knight underwent surgery on his troubled left ankle today. See more from the Paul Coro article.

"It was a minor procedure," Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby said. "There was an anterior flap (of cartilage) in his ankle that caused irritation. We expect a full recovery."

The Suns staff worked closely with Knight and his agent, Arn Tellem, on plans for the surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Ferkel in Los Angeles, where Suns assistant general manager Pat Connelly and Suns performance recovery consultant Adam Annaccone joined Knight.

I'm glad the the Suns took proactive action now rather than wait.
