Was listening to 98.7 while at the gym and the local radio guys down there were again raving about this kid and how now the new coaching staff feels he is having the best off season so far.... Of course they said we still have to put on pads and play on the field etc.... But they are acting like the new and in not so many words "better" coaching staff is going to work wonders for the kid and Nkemdichi....

Dont shoot the messenger but the writing is on the wall IMO... They are slowly starting the brainwashing hahahaha

North Koreans intently listen to 98.7 radio guys to improve their propaganda skills.

I think Nkemdiche will succeed based on the new scheme alone.

Brandon Williams is a lost cause and I would be surprised if he’s on the roster in September.

Speaking of db's, Cards need to add a CB now, at least grab DRC and resign Tyvonne Branch. Bethea, Baker, PP 21 and Brandon Williams, needs some more help, especially after draft day

We've heard it all before with Brandon. I'm hoping for himself personally and our team he puts it all together because I think this is his last chance.

Brandon Williams was a total project and got over drafted because of his great workout numbers. He really needed at least a couple of years to learn the position in the NFL. So far he has looked completely in over his head.

With that said, this is his last chance to show he belongs in the NFL. I'm not holding my breath. Maybe Wilks can get him back on track but that would be like turning water into wine at this point.

I think Nkemdiche has the best chance of being turned into something useful by this staff. Especially with the change to a 4-3 defense.

I actually think he got over drafted because the almost legendary secondary coach at LSU, John Chavis, vouched for Williams. Chavis molded both Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu, and so Steve Keim and Bruce Arians put a lot of stock into Chavis’ recommendation. I remember Keim and Arians say at the recap press conference that Chavis had told them something to the extent that Williams was more talented than both Peterson and Mathieu.

I think Wilks is more of a legit CB whisper than Arians was a QB whisper... not saying Arians did not have a knack for fine tuning a QB as he did with Palmer but Wilks appears to have the ability to start at the foundation and excel with his style of tutelage

Williams is somebody to move on
Just a draft mistake
Doesnt have any clue to play cornerback and in the same time he offer poor value in the special teams

On if CB Brandon Williams has the inside track to start opposite Peterson:

Wilks “I wouldn’t say that. I would say right now, he is taking steps moving forward and getting better, but it’s too early to determine anything from the standpoint of a starter at this point.”

A new head coach talking high praise, trying to motivate a talented underperformer? No we've never seen that before here:

“I think that we've got an elite player (in Levi Brown) who was out,” Arians said. “Once we put that elite left tackle back in there, everything is better." (source)

:biglaugh: Let's see what happens when the pads are on. From my uneducated estimation, Williams doesn't study, and he's always looking the wrong way.

Which is why the Cards should be picking up DRC right now

Yeah, it’s probably wrong to say that it is a must, but I sure would feel a lot more comfortable if they signed him. Maybe Wilks is that defensive back wizard, and maybe he does get some production out of Brandon Williams, Chris Campbell, Marcus Williams or some of the other cornerbacks on the roster, but I just don’t feel comfortable banking on it.
