If he can get this team (the elusive, funky, cursed, can't predict Cardinals) back to winning, the dude would be iconic as Tom Landry with his hat LOL. Heck, it would not cost Nike much to try it out for Arians...and it just might become fashionable :)

Joining former NFL head coaches Jack Del Rio and Mike Nolan in pushing back against the NFL's uniform policy.

Tom Landry, Paul Brown, Bear Bryant (& possibly Vince L) were iconic figures along the sidelines in their Fedoras and similar hats.

Unlike most suburban fathers, my Dad used to wear a gray Fedora to the games I played in, and my brother Jim explained that he wore it because "that's what coaches are supposed to look like."

I say, bring 'er on (just so long as there are no propellers on top of any beanies).

That Kangol makes Arians look like an old school pimp daddy hit man and it freaking rocks. You just know Goodell is gonna say no but the crowds in UoP better start wearing them

Good luck. League will say no. Nike paid billions for the new contract and they will expect all the coaches to wear their on-field gear.

It's good to see our new head coach has his priorities set straight.. Destroy the roster and make sure he can wear his Kangol..

Don't forget:

- Hire his friends to coach even if it might hurt the team.
- Sign his old mediocre bench players and rely on them to replace starters.
- Say he was going to mold his coaching style to our talent then a month later says things like "I am not a Fullback guy". Or.... "The Wildcat is not my thing".

This one is not really his fault but.....
- His owner says they aren't done with Kolb and then releases him a month later.

I agree with the mention of Nike

$ talks and Nike will demand that all coaches wear the approved hat or no hat at all.

We're talking $ here not ethics.

I just like to see him wear some team branded gear somewhat consistently. Seriously, does he have a problem with the redbird?

Still, Nolan persisted with his petition to dress for success. After many league committee meetings and corporate negotiations with Reebok, a compromise was reached last year when Nolan was allowed to wear a suit, but only for two home games.

There was another stipulation. Reebok would make the suit. Reebok is in the sportswear business, so it was no surprise that its first foray into formal menswear was somewhat comical. The black suit it cobbled together did not exactly have Giorgio Armani worried - nor even the menswear designers at Sears or J.C. Penney.

If he wears a Kangol, it will be Nike Kangol with a Cards logo on it . . . and maybe only for two games, like Nolan.

By the way, Nike's NFL apparel deal was valued at $1.1B.
