Free agency has been going for a full week, and of all the teams in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers are among the handful of franchises that are still uncertain about who their starting quarterback will be. Every time we think we have a handle on what the Steelers are going to do, things change. Let's break down where the Steelers are now and what their options might be.

Keep holding out for Aaron Rodgers

The Steelers have an offer on the table for Rodgers but he seems to be infatuated with a team that doesn't want him. Pittsburgh can't wait around for him forever but we expect them to continue to stay the course.

Reach out to Russell Wilson

Wilson was the Steelers starting quarterback for more than half of the 2024 season but Pittsburgh hasn't shown much interest in bringing him back. This could all change if the Steelers cannot land Rodgers.

Seek out another veteran

There are other veteran quarterbacks out there like Jameis Winston and Trey Lance who remain unsigned but none of them inspire confidence.

Call the Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons seem committed to keeping Kirk Cousins on the roster despite having Michael Penix but a tempting offer might convince Atlanta to part with Cousins.

Roll with Mason Rudolph

The Steelers fanbase seems to have rallied around the return of Mason Rudolph and many seem very comfortable with him as the starter this season.

Draft a quarterback early

Whether it is a slide by Shedeur Sanders or maybe Jaxson Dart early, there's a real possibility the Steelers use their first-round pick on a quarterback with the intent of getting them on the field.
