Most fans agree that the ideal scenario on the first night of this year's NFL Draft is for the Minnesota Vikings to trade down from pick 24. But like any trade or deal ever made, someone else has to be willing to do business to facilitate that transaction.
ESPN's Jordan Reid shared his seven-round draft on Monday. The Bucs have a critical mock draft ahead of them as they look to take the next step as a franchise. They have several critical positions locked up, but they need to nail a couple of these draft picks to add depth to a handful of positions to be better equipped to handle a deeper playoff run.
Spoiler alert, this will be my mock draft pick for the Vikings later this week in my final mock draft here on Vikings Wire. It is a pick that makes too much sense for the team and Brian Flores. They need a rangy, ball-hawking safety after the departure of Camryn Bynum in free agency, and Nick Emmanwori fits that bill.
The Vikings want to revamp their defensive line with more pass rushers, Omarr Norman-Lott fits that bill. He is explosive off the ball and would be great along the defensive front of the Vikings, with Jalen Redmond and him forming quite the duo on pass-rushing sets.
Jordan Hancock is your classic downhill safety who is great in run support and in unique linebacker situations. He and Joshua Metellus are in a similar mold in that sense, so if they can grow him in the same way they did Metellus, they may have something.
The pick of Cabeldue is a pure depth pick here to also bring in competition for Blake Brandel. He is expected to remain the starter, but making him earn it in camp would be good for everyone to see as he looks to keep his spot on the Vikings' new look offensive line.

Round 1, Pick 24: Nick Emmanwori, Safety, South Carolina

Round 3, Pick 97: Omarr Norman-Lott, DL, Tennessee
The Vikings want to revamp their defensive line with more pass rushers, Omarr Norman-Lott fits that bill. He is explosive off the ball and would be great along the defensive front of the Vikings, with Jalen Redmond and him forming quite the duo on pass-rushing sets.
Round 5, Pick 139: Jordan Hancock, Safety, Ohio State
Jordan Hancock is your classic downhill safety who is great in run support and in unique linebacker situations. He and Joshua Metellus are in a similar mold in that sense, so if they can grow him in the same way they did Metellus, they may have something.
Round 6, Pick 187: Bryce Cabeldue, G, Kansas
The pick of Cabeldue is a pure depth pick here to also bring in competition for Blake Brandel. He is expected to remain the starter, but making him earn it in camp would be good for everyone to see as he looks to keep his spot on the Vikings' new look offensive line.
