I am so sick of reading and listening about Brett Favre I want to throw up. I do not care if he goes, where he goes, why he goes or how he gets there. I have never seen or heard so much news about a 38 year old QB and his on going saga about playing football. He takes up half the time on nearly every sports show and his face is in the news papers on a daily basis.

Please go away Brett and let us fans rest in peace. I highly respected Favre and all his great accomplishments but this soap opera is rapidly causing be to not care anything about him what so ever. At least Barry Bonds seems to have disappeared. Go quietly into the night Brett. Please!

One of the growing reasons why I rarely watch any sports show or read the sports papers anymore.

C'mon people, think about how you felt when the Cards were getting some national press when Edge came here. Just be happy for Jets fans and move on. Is it really so important to express hatred for a player that wants to play? Yes, he caused a media circus but did it really take away from anything that would have been reported otherwise? I happened to be very intrigued by the possible trading partners, whether or not GB would welcome him back, etc. Much more than watching ESPN top 10 plays of soccer goals and NCAA-div.2 female field hockey highlights. Or NFL Network re-airing whatever Patriots game that they haven't seen 1,000 times yet.

Favre over-saturation for sure but the guy's an all-time great, made a mistake and still is newsworthy. No. Big. Deal.

Agree moklerman let Jets fans enjoy something good happening for them. GB is stupid imho for trading him when he is so much better than what they have. Look at it this way what team do you know traded their HOF QB after nearly going to the Super Bowl the prior year? Oh and he was runner up MVP! Yeah lets trade him and start a guy who's never started a game in the NFL, sure all the vets on the team are real freakin excited! Wow just crazy decision by GB!

edge didn't drag on like this. we didn't have an edge tab on the espn bottom line. we didn't have to hear if edge's private jet moved an inch towards the runway. comparing the edge coming hear story to the "favre to tampa, oh wait green bay, oh maybe tampa yes! oh jets" story is laughable.

It took away a ton without a doubt and if your a fan of most sports it is very easy to see, heck its easy to see when it comes to just football coverage alone. How about some coverage of the thick of the baseball season, goings ons of the other 31 training camps going on, a lot of football holdouts, Olympic trials, road to the Olympics, and plenty other sports related stories.

I think you're missing the point. I never said the circumstances or situation was the same, just that it's nice for a team not named the Cowboys or Patriots will get some national attention for once rather than the canned, generic, if at all coverage that they would normally get. Like the Cardinals did when Edge came here. Didn't last but I'm sure Card's fans were enjoying it. No one in the league really compares to Favre or his situation so I apologize for not having an identical scenario.

Did you miss that Manny Ramirez was traded to the Dodgers? Or that Bay is in Boston? How about daily coverage of Team USA beating up on the paltry competition? Chicago's home win streak? Fielder pushing his pitcher around? It seems like it's all been there and repeated over and over. I knew that Garcia was excused then hurt in TB, that Jackson is holding out in St. Louis, Big Ben strained his groin, Peyton's not gonna play soon because of his infected knee, etc. What exactly has been sacrificed? I watched the whole preseason opener and there has been pretty good coverage of guys like Quinn and Brennan from that game. I'm not seeing the loss.
