Brian Dawkins apologizes for not mentioning Broncos in Hall of Fame speech

Some fans in Denver were upset Saturday evening with former safety Brian Dawkins did not acknowledge the Broncos during his Hall of Fame speech. Though Dawkins spent the majority of his career with the Eagles, he did earn two Pro Bowl selections during his time in Denver. After the ceremony, Dawkins apologized for not mentioning the Broncos. “Denver, thank you for my time there,” Dawkins said during an interview with BroncosTV’s Steve Atwater (who also belongs in the Hall of Fame). “I was remiss to say that up there, but I want to thank you for my time there. “That was not a time that I came there to have a last couple of years — you guys welcomed me and I thank you so much for that.
