AUGUSTA, Ga. — Brian Harman entered Saturday at Augusta National with one thought: play bold.

Unfortunately, it backfired.

The University of Georgia product shot 41 on his final nine holes and will enter Sunday at 3 over at the 2025 Masters.

“I'm trying to make a move and just didn't execute,” said Harman, who won the Valero Texas Open last week.

Harman made the turn at 2 under before bogeying Nos. 11 and 14. He then triple bogeyed No. 16.

“I took on some shots — just didn't pan out,” he said. “Got to have a low one to get back in contention, and some shots go 50/50.”

Nine days after switching to a TaylorMade putter, Harman needed 91 putts over 54 holes (30 Thursday, 30 Friday, 31 Saturday) but he made it clear he has no intent of abandoning the new stick.

“Been rolling it fine,” the Savannah native said. “It's an imperfect game. “I've had tons of lip-outs and tons of good putts that could have gone in. Just hasn't been my week.”
