For those that don't watch allot of Redskins games he's a stud. He gave Veldheer all he could handle today.

6'4 and 28 years old. Getting paid 11 million this year and he's a free agent after the season. I think he would be a monster in this defense teams wouldn't be able to just key in on him like they do in Washington. I think our secondary is set with Peterson, Mathuie, Bucannon, Johnson and Jefferson all in there early to mid 20s. I like our defensive line with CC and Dan Williams still in there 20s you got Dockett the old man of the group but I like Martin, Stinson, Kelly, Tucker all providing toughness and depth.

Our linebackers will be the question. I would welcome Washington back. Listen the guy might be the best ILB in all of football. Foote is very solid, Minter is a good depth guy but I don't know if he's a starter. Abraham is gone. I think you give Orakpo what he wants and you do whatever it takes to move up in the draft and go after Beasley or whoever you think that big time pass rushing OLB is.

He'll be franchised before he hits FA.

Veldheer made him look a lot better than he really is. It was a rough day for Jared.

Veldheer did what was necessary to protect Palmer, including a lot of holding, and I approve of anything that won't result in Palmer being destroyed.

Orakpo didn't have a sack before this game. Veldheer struggled and also had a false start in the redzone. He will bounce back next week against his old team.

I pretty sure he was franchised last year.

Meh, he would help that team, but I don't love the idea of paying big money to a 28 year old linebacker. A rough position where guys can fall off quick. I might go after Brandon Graham for less money if I want to address a pass rusher in FA.

Assuming you mean Rucker and not Tucker....get back to me when any of the bolded guys do anything. They are all replaceable garbage. Throw in Okafor and Acho as well.

Minter is a bust, Martin has done nothing, Stinson had one average play today, Kelly is the clone of Rucker and an aging Dockett, Okafor lucked into two sacks today (o.k. that's being harsh, he got good push on both) and Acho (I love the person) does nothing to influence games.

If this team is going to make a playoff push guys like Martin are going to have to SIGNIFICANTLY up their game. This defense is hanging on with smoke and mirrors right now and that won't fly against the big boys in the playoffs.

I would argue that Okafor, Martin, and Stinson have the potential to be solid, rotational depth that a top front 7 needs. Acho might be gone if he asks for too much. His game is pretty replaceable.

Can't see Washington letting either go. They, along with RGIII, are the building blocks of the team. Kerrigan seems to have fewer health concerns, and Orakpo is probably the better pass rusher. He would, if healthy, be a great addition. But I'm SURE it won't happen.

How many sacks does he have after yesterday?

Yes I would love to sign him. Him or Kerrigan would be great.

Kerrigan was impressive although I'm still wondering on that play to Housler how he didn't get a penalty. He not only drove Houslers head into the ground, he did it with a hand on the facemask. I guess it was karma though because he came off with a possible concussion 2 plays later(but returned to the game later).

Last I checked Orakpo is a really good pass rusher, and the Cardinals won the game.

If that was struggling, I will take it.

That "replaceable garbage" is actually playing really well. Everybody thought this defense would be a shell of what it was last year and we've played lights out with nothing but backups. Still can't run on this defense those guys may not be getting those fancy sacks but they damn sure aren't bring pushed back when the ball is snapped.

This is the stuff that bugs me. Kareem Martin is 5 games into his NFL career a 3rd round pick who was asked to gain 20lbs and completely change positions. The kid is playing great.

The kid is playing great? Look at the box score. His name isn't in print. It's as though he never woke up and drove to the stadium. Neither is Kevin Minter's.

Rucker, Kelly, and Stinson had a combined total of three tackles. Three.

Replaceable garbage. Gaston, Ta'amu and Keiser could have done the exact same thing.

one of the best DEs in UT history. he's a beast. sad to see that he is on the deadskins, but wouldn't mind seeing him go somewhere else for his own sake.

Totally agree. I guess I'm just irked that guys like Martin, Stinson and Minter are relatively high draft picks that don't impact the game anymore than staying in their gap. So I'm not going to say they are "playing great" when they are not.

Minter yes but Martin is a 3rd round rookie who is playing a new position and we got Stinson in what the 5th? Did you see Stinson play at Bama? I'm guessing you didn't he's a solid depth guy against the run he's not an explosive pass rusher.

Remind me what that second round pick C.C did his rookie year.

The Cardinals defense had Minter, Oakafor, HB, Jefferson, Stinson, Martin, and Buchannon all out there playing Major roles this week.

That's a ton of guys drafted in the last 2 years making a huge contribution to a win! I'm sorry that they haven't all made the pro bowl yet.
