Mar. 27—The 2025 Kalispell Lakers Baseball Camp is scheduled for April 11 at Griffin Field, and players age 8-16 are urged to sign up before the April 8 deadline.
Cost is $50 ($90 for two players) for the annual camp, which features Lakers' coaches and players teaching the fundamentals, with an emphasis on hitting.
Players should register at www.kalispelllakers.org; it will run from 5-8 p.m. Each camper will get a custom shirt.
Griz G Moore enters portal
MISSOULA — Malik Moore, a key player in the Montana Grizzlies' Big Sky Conference basketball championship, has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Sam Kayser, a recruiting analyst, broke the news via Twitter/X on Monday and reported that Moore was keeping the option of returning to the Grizzlies open.
The guard averaged 12.6 points for the Grizzlies, and shot nearly 41 percent from the 3-point line. It was junior season; he spent two seasons at Pepperdine.
2 MSU freshmen enter portal
BOZEMAN — Myles Moskowitz and Trap Johnson, two freshman who redshirted this past season at Montana State, have entered the NCAA transfer portal, Parker Cotton of 406mtsports.com reported Wednesday.
The 6-foot-6 Johnson, out of Texas, was the first high school player to commit to MSU coach Matt Logie, who took over the Bobcats in April of 2023. Moskowitz, out of Boulder, Colo., was a walk-on.
Five Bobcats have now entered the portal. The others are Brandon Walker, Bryce Zephir and BJ Kolly. The 6-7 Walker was the Bobcats' top scorer and rebounder this past season, averaging 14.7 points and 4.9 rebounds.
MSU's Dykstra, Picton in portal
Marah Dykstra and Natalie Picton, two key cogs on Montana State's record-setting women's basketball team, have entered the NCAA transfer portal.

The 5-foot-5 sophomore Picton averaged 6.3 points a game for the Bobcats, who won a Big Sky Conference-record 30 games and the league tournament before losing to Ohio State 71-51 in the NCAA Tournament.
Dykstra, a 6-2 junior forward, was second on the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game, and also averaged 4.4 rebounds. Both players are from Canada.
