An anecdote to tell you where my head is at:

My wife and I are expecting our first child in the next couple of weeks. I ran into a friend that I used to tailgate with. Huge football fan and someone I always talk with about the Cardinals.

After asking how I was, they asked, "Are you nervous?"

My response was something along the lines of, "Well with Brady not playing, I think we can limit Gronk's production and have a pretty good shot at winning."

They were asking about becoming a father.

Oops.

Patriot fans seem very confident. Say all of the pressure is on the Cardinals. Most are predicting to sneak out a victory.

Funny stuff and understandable, they are your football friend so of course you guys are always talking about the Cards.

If I were Belichek, I'd just throw to Amendola the entire game since presumably PP and HB will have their hands tied with Edelman and Gronk. Unless we match Tyvon Branch up with Gronk and slide HB to the slot with Amendola. Who then covers Bennett?

I don't think this is a gimmie for us by any means. However, the Pats will have A LOT to overcome for this game. Not only is it on the road across the country, they are without Brady, Nickovich and Dion Lewis. I never underestimate a Bill Belichek coached team but we need to saddle up and take care of business while they are down.

Just so everyone knows, the Cards are favorites. So I'm not sure that the sky is falling.

just so you know, no one is talking about the Cards losing, so why even talk about the sky falling except to argue a non-existent point?
